ZaZo AI is a Malawi-registered corporation providing artificial intelligence and data science services. We connect application development with the data collection, model adaptation and evaluation needed to make technology useful in local settings.

We focus on practical AI solutions while working toward language technology that reflects locally relevant data, evaluation and needs. Our scope includes LLM applications, customer support chatbots, speech recognition and data science.

Dunstan Matekenya, Ph.D.

Dunstan Matekenya brings more than 15 years of experience across data science, machine learning, official statistics and geospatial analysis. His recent work includes Chichewa speech recognition, language datasets, LLM adaptation and conversational AI. He holds a doctorate from the University of Tokyo and has delivered technical training across Africa.
